OMG...the stupid bus drivers in Santa Cruz today decided to go on strike and people, like me, who live off campus cannot get up there besides walking or driving. THIS SUCKS!!! We have no idea how long the strike is going to be, but I hope it is soon because my MPG is not good with the amount of traffic there is on campus because most of the off campus students resulted to driving because of the strike causing major traffic problems. The campus also had to turn one part of the campus road to a parking area to accommodate the number of cars and of course it is their way of making more $$$$. They even had this huge sign posted at the front entrance that they were selling certain parking permits when we were driving up there. Aren't they some smart little beings?!  This once again reinforces the reason why I do not like unions. I REALLY REALLY dislike them! All right...my venting is over! Hope everyone else is having a better day.

Here are a few pix from our engagement party. These three are only a few out of the many that Chris and Jason P. took. I saw the ones that Jason took and there were over 200. I have no idea how many Chris has, but thanks to them the pictures are wonderful and I wanted to share it.

We're holding onto one of the gifts that Johanna got for us. So CUTE...!!!

Haha...we're eating dinner here as you can tell !!!

Here is the pic of my maid of honor and my two bridesmaid with me!!! So funny how we are all around the same height and everything. KOOLIOS!!!

From left to right: Kitty (Maid of Honor), Me (Bride to Be), Johanna (Bridesmaid), & Judy (Bridesmaid)

I got more to share, but they will be uploaded to another site when I get all the pix figured with Jason and Chris.

As we all know, the entire city of New Orleans and parts of Mississippi state are currently under extremely contaminated waters. This has caused many families to disperse about the rest of the country, but they still need our help as fellow citizens to help the health hazards growing within those areas even though the U.S. government is providing funded programs to control the situation. I am pretty sure that you can make contributions to the American Red Cross through your financial institution, such as Washington Mutual (I know this for a fact b/c I work for them) or simply go to American Red Cross' website. If you have spare money, please contribute to the cities and families in desperate need of rebuilding. If we have extra cash to spend on a vacation, we can all spare at least $25 for a good cause. Cas and I are contributing $100 through my employee contribution program so WaMu can match our contribution. This shows that we can all do our part as U.S. citizens to support our country when in need.

Wow...I haven't written in this since the last update on the BBQ in SC. Anywayz, the summer is almost over for most of us and that means it is time to head to school again. This will be my fourth year and my last (crossing my fingers), then it will be heading into the working world. It is very scary how time flies these days because it seems as though not too long ago I just graduated from HS. Another important and exciting step has also occurred in my life this summer and I know all my close friends know this already. I got engaged this summer! I am getting very excited about planning the wedding, but there is still much time for Cas and I to think about it. I sure hope that all is going well for all of you and I wish you a wonderful school year ahead and for some who already work, I definitely wish you the best in all aspects. Take Care.

Hi!!!

Alrighty...I sent out the e-mail to get confirmation for the potlock BBQ. So just your e-mails if you remember me asking for your e-mail addresses. If I left you out, I apologize and e-mail me directly that you want to go and I'll send you the info. The time for the event will also be sent out with the directions and the info on who is going to bring what to the event. So if you don't reply to my confirmation e-mail by July 1, 2005, I am going to assume you will not be attending. As for organizing who's going to bring what, I will send out an e-mail informing you that I will be calling, so if you have dibs on bringing something specific, you should call me first after receiving the 2nd e-mail from me. I will be covering the reservation fees, the music permit, and maybe the alcohol permit if any of you decide to bring it, but I really appreciate it if you do not. You all know how much I do not like alcohol. Anywayz...we'll get to that in further detail laters. Take care & remember to check your e-mails.
